Metal Finishes Guide
In our last blog, we went over different types of metal. Below, we will go over the decorative finishes that coincide with the types of metal.
If you see a new metal decor that seems like an antique, there is a great chance that Antiqued finish was used on it, to give it the look of it standing the test of time. It makes the metal become darkened.
This finish makes the metal have tiny brush stroke marks, giving it a chic look. This gives off the feeling that metal was smoothed with a paintbrush.
A metal that has the hammered finish looks like one that was pounded, and you can see on it tiny indents.
This finish leaves the metal looking like a reflective mirror. This polished surface can reveal smudges easily than any other kind of metal finishes.
It looks like the brushed metals. It is far smoother, and sometimes, do not have the brushstroke marks. It has its sheen ranked between polished and matte.
