Most sculpture is pure expression originating from the interpretation of our environments or life experiences. The medium or materials used to create the piece will have a direct effect on the outcome achieved. We work in numerous media, most of which originate in nature. Metals such as copper, brass and iron are predominant, but we also blend in woods, rock, and glass to achieve our ends. A simple item like a weathervane can become high art, not only by design, but through the use of these contrasting materials.
